Initial State-compliant Florida and New Jersey Security Officer training

STRYK is fully certified to provide state-compliant security officer training in both Florida and New Jersey. We offer initial training programs for Florida Class D (unarmed) and Class G (armed) licenses, as well as the New Jersey SORA (Security Officer Registration Act) certification. Each state requires completion of a state-mandated training program—typically 40 hours in duration—to qualify for licensing. Our training is available through both traditional in-person classroom sessions and flexible distance learning options.

Firearms training

Our firearms instructors can instruct and qualify you consistent with Florida and New Jersey regulations.
STRYK boasts instructors with decades of police, security, and military experience. Our primary marksman is a retired US Army Special Forces operative.

OC (Pepper) Spray certification

OC Spray is a vital tool, designed as both a less-than-lethal use of force option and a de-escalation tool.
Our instructors will provide the most effective classroom and practical OC Spray training available in the security business.

TASER certification

The TASER, not unlike OC Spray, is a vital tool, designed as both a less-than-lethal use of force option and a de-escalation tool.
Our instructors will provide the most effective classroom and practical TASER training available in the security business.

Expandable Baton certification

The Expandable Baton is a less-than-lethal option which sometimes is instructed as an offensive weapon.
Here at STRYK, we only instruct the Expandable Baton as a defensive weapon, teaching techniques designed to defend against an attack.

Homeland Security training

Security professionals are quite often the first line of defense in the nation’s homeland security efforts.
Our instructors are nationally recognized experts in homeland security and have prepared a comprehensive curriculum specifically designed for the security professional.

Human Trafficking training

Use of Force training

The decision to implement the legal use of force by a security professional is not a decision which can be taken lightly.
It is also not a decision which can be made with the proper training.
We have designed the most comprehensive security officer training available in the United States. This course, Composite Use of Force for the Security Professional was designed to provide the security professional with the requisite knowledge to use force to defend themselves.
Additionally, aware that quite often security professionals encounter those with physical disabilities in the course of their duties, STRYK has integrated using force against the disabled into their comprehensive curriculum.

First Aid training

STRKE instructors include paramedics and registered nurses with decades of experience.
Our training program includes Red Cross CPR and First Aid training as well as supplemental training created by our staff.

Active Shooter training

There is not one single venue which is attended by groups of people in the United States which is not vulnerable to an active shooter.
Our instructors have decades of experience in creating active shooter plans, but more importantly, have the experience to lead full-scale drills to make certain the plans are actionable.

Executive Protection training

All of our instructors have Executive Protection experience ranging from protection of dignitaries, politicians, and VIPs.
We also train medical professionals (EMTs and paramedics) to be part of an Executive team.
